Questions

Is it free to sign a PDF with Sign?

Yes. You can sign and download a PDF for free. You do not need to make an account.

Does my PDF leave my device?

Not with “Use without saving”. Your browser does all the work, and Sign sends nothing to the server. If you choose “Save and share”, your browser encrypts the PDF first, and the server keeps only the encrypted file for 7 days.

Can another person sign the same PDF?

Yes. Sign in, choose “Save and share” and send the link. The other person can open the PDF, fill in fields and add text without an account. To add a signature, they must sign in, so the record shows who signed.

Is a signature made with Sign legally valid?

Sign makes a simple electronic signature. Rules are not the same in every country and for every document. Ask the person who needs the document if they accept it.

Can I change a signature after I save the PDF?

Yes. A PDF saved by Sign keeps its edit history inside the file. Open it in Sign again, and you can move or delete the items you added.

Where does Sign keep my drawn signature?

In your browser, on this device. Sign does not send it to the server by itself. You can clear it with the “Clear saved signature” button.
